Mary Burg

Mary brings insight, intelligence, and laughter
to each coaching engagement. Her clients include executives, managers,
business owners, and other professionals who are committed to transforming
their businesses, their workplaces and their lives.
Mary’s clients are creating
results in such areas as organizational leadership; business
start-up, expansion, and redesign; charitable fundraising; career change
and post-retirement life planning. They are transforming their
relationships to time, money, health and fitness, as well as their
relationships to themselves and others.
Throughout her professional career Mary has led teams, individuals
and diverse stakeholder groups in creating breakthrough results. Mary
received the Governor’s Distinguished Management Leadership Award
for outstanding leadership in reducing costs and improving public service
in Washington State.
As an executive manager, Mary has been responsible for staffs of up to
165 employees and budgets of up to $30 million.
Mary is passionate about life and is an avid scuba diver,
naturalist, gardener, and dancer. Mary is also passionate about Don Bales,
her tropical dive buddy and life partner of 24 years. Mary and Don live
near Olympia
Washington in a home they designed to
be a sanctuary for wildlife. They happily describe their home as “the
best campsite east of Lacey.”
Mary is a certified professional coach, an affiliate of and
trainer for Accomplishment Coaching of San Diego, a member of both the
International Coach Federation and the International Association of Coaches.
She is an alumna of The Evergreen State College and the University of Washington and co-owner of Burg Rivers
Life and Business Coaching, Burg Rivers LLC.
